How did you become a runner?

I grew up playing every sport available. I loved basketball, baseball, football, golf, and tennis. I averaged 12 yards a catch as a high school football player (I caught one pass for 12 yards as a freshman on one of the worst teams ever assembled. I was only open because I ran the wrong route.) Luckily, my high school had a very dynamic and experienced Track coach who saw my potential and provided a great team atmosphere. I was fortunate to run on some nationally-ranked relays with teammates who became lifelong friends. Running and coaching have led me to people and places that have defined and enhanced my life.
